First, the thing you are actually wondering.

No, we are not going to take your client. Nordic Garden Buildings makes one thing, a warm insulated garden room, and we make it in Britain. We do not lay paving, we do not plant, we do not do groundworks or drainage or lighting, and we never will. There is nothing in your client's garden that we want.

The job you keep turning down

A client asks for a garden office, a studio, a gym at the end of the lawn. Right now you have three answers, and none of them pays you properly.

You say no

The work walks. So does the landscaping that would have gone with it, because the room is usually what triggers the rest of the scheme.

You send them to a garden room company

Who now has your client's name, address and budget, and a reason to ring them every spring.

You build it yourself

On a margin that does not reflect the risk, and you own every leak, every draught and every condensation complaint for the next ten years.

There is a fourth. Send it to us. We quote it, make it, deliver it, install it and guarantee it for ten years. You get a referral fee, and you keep the client and every bit of work around the building.

How it works

  1. You tell us about the job A name, a postcode, and roughly what the client is after. That is the whole referral.
  2. We survey and quote Either we contact the client, or you introduce us. You are copied in the whole way unless you would rather not be.
  3. We make it and install it Built in Britain by Modplan, delivered and installed by us, guaranteed for ten years by us.
  4. You get paid, and you keep the garden Your fee is paid on completion. The base, the drainage, the path, the screening, the planting and the lighting are yours, and they are where the money is anyway.
  5. If the job dies, nobody owes anybody anything No tie-in, no exclusivity, no minimum. Refer one a year or one a week.

The rooms

Insulated properly, so they are usable in February rather than just in July. Standard sizes with a real spec sheet, so you can put one on a drawing.

Modplan have been manufacturing in Britain for more than fifty years. The rooms are insulated for year-round use and carry a ten-year guarantee. If something goes wrong in year six it comes to us, not to you, and not to your reputation.

Usually permitted development

Most garden buildings go up under Class E, which means the room does not sit in a planning queue holding up the rest of your programme. There are real limits on height, footprint and position, and listed buildings and some designated areas are different, so we check every site with you before anybody promises a client anything.
